I've got a traqmate and its great for laptimes and improving lines/speeds, you can put it in the car if its firmly mounted and not sliding around. When I was shopping it did more then the G-tech but that was a little over a year ago. If you are interested in one a buddy of mine sells them as well....

Suction cups work good for cameras if they arent too heavy (I have a bullet cam) otherwise you might be able to mount it to the upper latch mount on the rear deck.

you can use a g-tech no problem. The suction cup mount is good, but I got tired of having cords all over the place and taping it down during runs, so I fabbed up a mdf panel to fit into the little pocket next to the boost gauge. I used some good velcro to secure it to the dash, then screwed on the g-tech mount, ran the power cable from behind the dash up through the opening behind the boost gauge pod, then to the gtech. Basically there's no wires at all and it's VERY securely mounted. I picked up a female 12v accessory outlet and used a little bit of spare wire and some wire taps to tie into the accessory outlet wiring. I need to redo it so it's on a dedicated line from the fuse panel or battery because it is VERY easy to get electrical noise going that will ruin sensing the rpm signal and basically makes it impossible to get a clean rpm signal with lights on or fans on. I was getting this when I was plugged directly into the outlet prior to hiding all wiring.
