to have a blown fuse that changes the performance of the vehicle, probably. if it's the fuse for an interior light, no big deal. but using a blown fuse to disable abs, would likely get you protested at big events. Anyway, I believe you would have a lot of rear brake if you pull the fuse or have a blown fuse. The Electronic Brake Distribution basically acts as an electronic proportioning valve and if you pull a sensor, you keep that function working, the fuse disables all of it.
Have you tried the check valve yet? I change mine periodically to make sure it doesn't cause an issue.
Unfortunately, I forgot to change it (again) before One Lap and it cost us the class win, when boost to vacuum before a quick transition at the BMW test track caused a momentary loss of pedal assist and we "Bo Duke'd" it over a blind crest and turn (we missed the "turn" part of it completely).
We will be installing a electric vacuum pump to run during future events!

The upgraded tension struts, were part of the ACR package.
You already have them.
Mine is non ACR...

if it could be proven that the new part (mopar performance) superceeds the old one as a factory replacement (later 05s apparently came with them) then you should be able to use them on any year SRT-4.
How would I be able to verify if my 2005 non ACR car has the upgraded tension struts? I believe Mopar used the same part number when they upgraded the bushing material. Would the $40+ be worth the piece of mind...? Hmmm... thoughts to ponder...

Mopar uses the same part number (usually) when updating parts, but the suffix letters on the end change with each iteration! If it ended with "AA" before, the next update will end with "AB" and "AC" and so on.....

I think this setup would be very useful for A LOT of people.

When I asked the SRT engineers the same question, the exact response:
Quote:
It's true for 2005 SRT-4's built starting in April 2005...
When we 'launched' the ACR in the plant, we used the higher durometer tension strut on both the Base SRT-4 and the SRT-4 ACR.
It's easy as pie to determine if its the soft ones or not... The soft ones feel like well chewed bubble gum.... (real soft) and the harder ones are like hard caramel....
MMMMmmmm caramel....

they actually installed the "p-part" parts, but the p-part parts don't have a p-part part number. (did that make sense?)
So they have the higher durometer bushings in ALL of them, yet they didn't change the part number in the system for STAR parts, so if you order a set of oem replacements, they will be the softer ones according to the parts sytem, and you can't get p-parts covered under warranty... so if you ever have them go bad under warranty, you'd get the old style.

(I'm going cross-eyed re-reading that first parT)
Did you get that check valve sent out to me yet? Whats your paypal account?

It's on my list of things to do this week. I mentioned a vacuum pump before and no one seems to be sure if that was a great idea or even allowed in Street Mod. I looked around alittle and they seem to be expensive for a little 12V pump. I'm thinking I can come up with something much cheaper. How often do you change that check valve out?
Congrats on the great run at the one lap this year!!! Way to represent!!
Dang what a baller set up for a web site. My order is placed and paid for. Did it ship yet? lol Oh wait let me go check my front porch and see if it's there.
it's funny cause I never noticed it a problem on my former SRT4 at the roadcourse but am thankful we removed it from the infiniti g20 we use at the track now... that one is the worst ABS setup ever IMHO..
I never got into ABS on the SRT4 except maybe once or twice on the track... go figure..
