New Appendix A is out. Under the new rules the SRT-4 is going from 25% restrictor to 35%, same 1400mb boost curve listed so far. Also going from 1566 min. front axle weight/42% max rear axle weight to 1788 front/35% rear. How close to the 58/42 split were the WC cars anyway? Base weight is up 50lbs as well.

Wow did Pro think our Dodge trouser snakes were too huge, or what??? We got a serious 3 finger whap on the peepee. The restrictor will make us have to ask dodge for a new tune (which I'm betting they don't have funds to research for us) or plug one in ourselves. The base weight is not big deal .. just a couple extra cheezeburgers. The weight distribution is the big deal though. You think we push now @ 39-38%.... mandating us to a 65% front bias on weight is gonna slow us down a good deal in the corners .. which is where we we're slow to begin with. I guess this is to slow us down to keep the built for 2009 spec'ed cars to be competitive. Looking at the appendix one would think Mazda and Acura must be slipping the PRB a free TL and a 6 or something...

I can see there concern. The SRT-4 has been so dominant in the past years, it is unfair to the competition!
I mean.... come on... "we" did podium ONCE at Rd America!
Why would the car get the distribution change and 50lbs instead of the 150lb addition everyone else did? The BMW's are also listed as going from no restrictor to 45% restriction... could there just be mistakes as it's a first draft?

Actually I think the SRT will be super competitive with the new rules
If I remember correctly we were running a 64%- 36% weight distribution so the extra 1% won't have a huge effect. (BTW the SRT wasn't slow in the corners it was slow into the corners. Big difference)
The 3.5" ride height will help big time and the restrictor has less effect on a turbo car than a NA car. The turbo on that car is so big that it could make the same power through a straw.
3.5 inch ride height will mean bumps wont pop out the axels from the diff!!! =] the restrictor isn't a big deal *if* we can tune around it. Hmm... it would be great to see you all competitive out there!
