ok so the stage 1-3 ecu's have the WOT shift feature how does the ecu help with WOT shifting and how exactly do u WOT shift properly so there is no boost loss in between shifts..
can i do this with the stock ecu still whats gunna happen lol

I might be wrong but here goes, you can still wot shift with the factory ecu, the huge difference being there's nothing programmed into it to compensate for it, so you'll bounce off the rev limiter and probably have a hard time getting into the next gear. staged ecu's have programming in them that i believe cuts ignition timing so that it's much easier to get into the next gear and it also acts as a soft rev limiter keeping you from over revving and keeping boost up. once again, i'm no expert, but that's as far as i understand it.
there is some kind of boost hold feature with the stage computers - how you get it to work i have no idea, but ive done it a few times but it was never WOT... it shifts smooth as hell and takes off in the next gear nicely though...

I completely agree. While I'm sure it isn't as effective as a WOT Box, I noticed a huge difference in available boost when shifting into gears from stock ecu to stage 2.

i think mopar just screwed up on how long you have to shift vs. the WOT box but honestly ive tried shifting as fast as possible, pressing the clutch in different pressures and still cannot figure out how to do it 100% of the time with the stage3 ecu... its done it a few times though so i know the feature is there... :-\
WOT works on a stage 0...I've done it on a rare occasion although I'm not a fan of doing it long-term. Many will swear by it and it does help but benefits vs risks...I weigh them and opt not to do it. I "believe" the staged upgrades allow the ECU to attempt to hold boost during the shift while on the factory ECU you'll lose boost the second you let off the throttle

i've been doin WOT on stage 0 for over 3 years now with no tranny mishaps (just axels from wheel-hop) and i only lose 5psi at the absolute MAX!
keep your right foot to the floor and push the clutch in and let it out as fast as u physically can while shifting just at the right time, also as fast as your physically can.
good luck, not many can do it. if you dont wanna risk it, just get a WOT box.

at WOT, the staged ECUs hold boost a little longer prior to blowoff releasing the pressure, allowing you to try and shift quickly before loss of pressure, but the only way to do this without damaging your car over time and also the only way to do it consistently is with N2MB's WOT box. get it and you will love it, especially with stage 2 or 3 ECUs
