Default stock quarter miles times?

someone told me the SRT 4 is a 15 second car stock. Is that true?

Also would a stage 2 w/toys and all the other goodies needed to go with it get it down to low 13s?

Thanks

Majority in the mid-14's stock. Some high 13's. Depending on track conditions, weather. And biggest thing of all driver mod.

Then go by magazine times....google it. Most of those are fairly accurate, but it all comes down to the driver.

2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged vs. 2005 Dodge SRT4 - Compact Sport Coupe Comparison - Motor Trend

Those should give you an idea, if anything just average them. Those took me a minute to find, and I know there's more.

Thanks,

I have found people claiming 13.9 all the way to 15.2. So I guess low 13s are deffently possible with a stage 2 kit. I have a stock GTO to beat

Edit: Thanks for all the google searches.

The first Sunday in May I ran my BONE stock SRT4 at US 41. It still has the stock exhaust and stock airfilter on it. My 3 times were 13.86 with a little wheel hop and tire spin and 2.16 short time. Then I lowered the tire pressure to 32L and 30R (it was at a 4L and 37R) and I then ran 13.84 with a 2.09 short time. My last pass I ran a 13.88 with a 2.08 short time. On all three passes I side stepped the clutch like I would on the street and shifted at 5500 for the 1-2 spot, then at 5800 for the remaining gears on the first 2 passes. The last pass I shifted the 2-3 and 3-4 at 6000 instead and it slowed down a bit. The mphs were 101+, 101+, and 100+....the last two passes had just chirping of the tires...I was shocked, still am.

just so you know, reaction time has absolutely nothing to do with your 1/4 e.t.
