My friend has an automatic z28 with intake and exhaust and ran a 8.8 in the 1/8th the other day...from a 1st gear roll it was pretty close because i spun but from 40 I beat him by a car or two.
2 of my friends had cameros z28 and an ss i beat both from a dig and a roll on the stock turbo and s2 (and a bunch of little stuff), i beat the ss by a bumper on the dig, the guy with the z28 couldnt drive so....yea
I have a stock 2004 srt4 and I raced my friends stock 2000 z28, from a 30 roll i jumped ahead on him cuz he has an auto but it was pretty even cuz we had to let off around 80, and from a 45 roll i jumped ahead but top end those ls1's are pretty powerful and he started pulling on after 5th past 120.
I beat my familys GTO on a 40 roll...but its an Auto and btw its a 5.7 ls1 with intake i think its rated at 350hp! I think it has to do with it being auto and manual.

i pulled a few cars on a 2000 ws6 trans am 6 speed two weeks back. we were all chillin in a parking lot and he thought he was tough and said he could smash ne of us. i raced him 4 times from 40mph rolls, beat him every time. im sure it would have been very close if he knew how to drive.ahahah the one time he claimed he lost becasue he went from 2nd to 5th gear.
I pulled like 6 car lengths on a c5 vette the other day on a 2 lane onramp. As soon as i got it in 2nd, we both jumped on it and by the time i hit 120 at the top of 4th gear, i was about 6 car lengths ahead of him. he was a good sport about it, just waved and kept going
