Default Slicks, radial or wrinklewalls with these mods...

Hey guys Im building up my srt with an AGP 50 trim supporting mods for fuel, tuning and suspension. I think i should be around 350-375 whp on pump (no meth) and over 400 on C-16. I plan on driving the car on the sreet but my intention for this thread was for Drag Racing at E-town...That track is usually preped well especially for the big events. Now I have used the search button i kno many of u guys run wrinkle wall 24.5 or 26 in. tall tires launchin at 5500rpm and I KNO u have to pay to play please dont belittle urselves with these comments, I am asking if anyone has tried the 23in tall tires for a quicker 60 or just to get them spinning easier than a 26in tall monster on stock axles. Im assuming that the top end will suffer but how much? and what about radial slicks like for autocross, these would be sick friday night tires to run the street, good left to right stability and traction like a slick...what about those on the dragstrip? Any feedback would be cool ***same post in wheels and tires forum***

I'd go with a M&H 24.5x8.5x15 slick! I've ran 23" slicks before and cut 1.70 60's, but I dont have near the power that you have! The 24.5" slicks should be good enough unless you have coilovers then I'd run the M&H 26"s! Drag Radials are good for the streets but wont benefit you as much as slicks will at the drag strip!

24.5's are a good middle ground for many modded srt4's..I ran them once and upgraded to some 26x9 hoosier QTP's.

24.5X8.5X15 seems to be FTW...what about the axles? are these things holding up or u guys breaking them and just picking up new ones daily lol seriously or does everyone just lay out the cash upfront for the DSS stage 5 axles?
OK guys running the wrinkle walls,
what about the 235X60X15 DOT M and H tires? Street use and at the track?

If you are going to be in a street class at the track, M&H P235/60-15 bias plys would be the ones you want. You can drive to the track lower the air pressure down have fun, bring the air pressure back up and drive home.

If you want the BEST BITE for the $ with the HP you have, get the M&H 8.5/24.5-15 that is what you need. PM me when you are ready, and you do get the SRT discount.
