Default Rookie at the dragstrip

first time ever running at the track here in abq, it took quite a few passes before I got into a groove and stopped missing 3rd gear shifts! I just picked up some slicks from John at M&H and I am completely amazed at how well they hooked up, I'll post up video/pics later. its a stock turbo with the all the 300hp how to setup. I had a blast running and my next purchase will the the N2MB WOT w/2step as I had a hard time maintaining rpm for launch while watching the tree. Hey I am newbie so I think the RT and ET's will get better with practice. this was from the last run, not my quickest but I don't have all my slips from the runs last night and was told my best et was a 12.55

RT .686(awful I know)
60ft 1.789
E.T. 12.796
MPH 109.058

if that's stock turbo and running in NM elevation that's pretty good

Just be aware the RT has NOTHING TO DO WITH your final E.T. of 12.7.

alright guys i know i know how to drive i see it like this i look at everybodies 60 foot and they are killing me i have a 1.89 or 1.90's all day with a nice heat up. Could my 60 foot be that bad because of the tor off the line with only 24.5 slicks think i should go bigger.

interesting I took note of most of my 60ft times, the first few runs were in the 2.0 and 2.1 range, I am running the m&h 23x7.5x15 and found that 13psi and a 5k launch gave me the best 60ft times. in the 1.7 to 1.8 range

I was thinking that too, I am hoping if I can make it out to Phoenix or Vegas I might pick up a few tenths just because of the lower altitude.
as for the RT, I work with some guys who drag race all the time and didnt want to catch a bunch of grief for "sleeping" at the lights
also I raced a 300c srt8 heads up and we were pretty close in et, but he cut a .019 light to my .491. of course it didn't help that I missed 4th gear...I know, i know who the hell missing fourth gear but damned if I didn't manage it
