Well I just ran my car at the import face off event at national trail raceway and I need some help with my car. The event was my only time ever running at the track and I got my car down to a 12.4@ 111mph and My 60ft was a 1.7. Any idea's why my MPH is so low? I was running 23psi(gt3076R), E85,26 degree's of timing, and kosie k1's with mt 24.5x8x15 slicks. Let me know if you need anymore info, I have my time slips at home.

What did your afr's look like? And what was the temp outside? Were you power shifting and what rpm were you shifting at? Let me know and I'll tryto help.

My AFR's were 11.8-12.1. Temp outside was cool, I want to say 70. I only WOT from 3rd to 4th and I was shifting at 6500-6600.

Were you holding 23 or spiking 23psi? Also I notice you have cams but stock valvtrain you might be over reving it and falling out of the power band try lowing your shift points and see if that helps.
I'm holding 23psi, my boost guage broke and I'm using the data from my map sensor. How would springs/retainers-valves affect my powerband? I thought the cams did that, and I'm pretty sure my crane 16's good up to 7000-7500rpm. But I'll give it a try, maybe shift at 6000 or 6300.

AEM standalone. No cam tuning, still on the stock cam gears. Have not boost leak tested it and like I said I do not have a boost guage just reading from the computer. I'll post the slip later when I get home because that's where it's at.

i say its in the tune. i bet the cams aren't making any power, might be hurting, on stock gears.
^^^ pretty much what i was thinking, My first step would be to do a proper boostleak test , then evaluate the tune and if the cams are making power or not.
Valve springs effect your ability to get to that power range. If your springs are to weak then it can cause valve float in the upper rpm's and a loss in power. The cams do effect where the power range is but you need good springs to reach that range. And I'm with the others you need some adjustable cam gears to get them dialed in. What you need 1:valve springs 2:cam gears and 3: dyno time. You should be traping near 118. I'm just running a 20g peaking 23 holding 20 to redline with stock cams and my best trap is 113.55.
I'll be sure to post the rest of the info off the time slip. I know that the stock gears might be hurting me, but I was just going to buy a set of gears and maybe do this Darrell Cox Racing - Cam Setting Fixture (Powered by CubeCart) and not degree my gears. I'll be sure to boost leak test it. Do you guys really think my valves are floating? I have a set of crane springs and retainers, just havn't had the head off to put them in because I was just going to wait until I do my built setup.
