Default Motorcycle drag slicks.

I met a guy at the track once who was running motorcycle slicks on his stock srt rims. He had said they were DCR's and he just borrowed them, but the slicks fit perfectly on the stock rims. I've heard they are cheaper than running out and buying brand new slicks and rims to fit. Would anyone happen to have an idea where I can find a pair and what size I would need? I know the stock rim size is 17x7. I'm not new to drag racing, but I'm new to slicks, so I really am not sure what sizes to look for.

Or would it work if I just ordered a set of 17x7 street radials? I am putting stage 2 on in the next few weeks and will be running my car, I'd like to have traction. If having a set of street radials would help with that, maybe that would be my best choice seeing as I am on a tighter budget. Any suggestions?

the stock rim size is 17x6 first of all.
second there is a thread running around about motorcycle slicks on stock wheels. I think M&H makes a tire that works.

honestly you're better off spending the money and getting a proper 15" wheel with 24.5x8.5 slicks.

ok it turns out it's Mickey Thompson that makes a motorcycle slick that would mount up. it's a 26x7x17 tire. However you're in some risky waters playing around with a low sidewall tire like that and having way more weight on the tires than they're intended to support.
