Default Launching technique...

i hace searched about this and couldnt find an answer. What is the best way to launch our cars? I have tried the i guess you could call "traditional" way when you hold the rpm's at 2.5 and then feather the clutch while giving it gas, and ive tried just letting go off the clutch enough so the car would move on its own without me giving it gas and then just flooring it. Doing it using the first method i had wheel hop, not a whole lot because im good at feathering it and with the throttle, but i had wheel hop and it seemed like i wasnt moving a whole lot since i really had to feather it slowly not giving it a lot of gas because if you do it fast your just stuck on first spinning. with the second technique wich is the one that ive seen people do at tracks in a couple of videos it seemes to me that you kind of loose time at the beggining because it takes a little while to get going after you floor it. i didnt have anyone with me to help me check for times or for their opinion, it was just me practicing. so i would like to know which method you guys prefer, wich one you guys use for racing, not only on the track but on the streets also. thanks

i hold the throttle right around 18-2000 rpms, and on the second yellow light, i start to let off the clutch lightly. do not drop it, youll just spin or hop. i take it easy in 1st gear, no full throttle business, it just makes it spin. after i am about halfway thru what is lfet of 2nd, its all full throttle from there. just so you know, this technique has netted me a 2.0 60' time on street tires, so it OBVIOULSY works.

^^^^^what he said above. also get urself some motor mounts...even the prothane inserts work well and only cost about $25. This will eliminate/reduce wheel hop........ and practice practice practice

Same technique here and get 2.0-2.1 every time on street tires
