I wouldn't take their advice for too much then. Torque and HP will always cross at 5250 RPM. HP is just a number derived from an equation based on TQ, which is why that's always the case.

Here is just a bit of thought on the fact that hp and torque cross at that RPM. First the fact that they cross at 5250 CANNOT be argued. It is part of the whole eqaution. It is just a fact. However I have seen people post graphs that differ from this when testing hp and torque at the wheels.

When testing these at the wheels things actually can vary especially with automatic cars with non lock up convertors. It will still cross close to the point and when you look at it and its not crossing at 5250 you know that there is something going on in the drivetrain or elsewhere(not in the engine that is impossible as it is an equation and always crosses at 5250). When you dyno your car at the wheels and it doesnt cross at 5250 just realize that somewhere either in the dyno, or driveline something is getting lost in the equation.

Sorry about the screw ups. I finally remembered how to insert a pic. Even though they dont cross in this picture in reality they actually cross at 5250. Its imposible mathmatically not to.

Well I have seen a few sheets that don't cross exactly, but must either mean dyno is off a bit, cause it was close to 52xx

My sig is no longer accurate to my current power or mods. It was going to be dynoed on 7/27, but the dyno day was cancelled. I am estimating around 280whp. I currently run 13.20s at 107 with a 2.1 60' rolling out of the hole on crappy street tires with 35psi in them. I have a brand new OEM replacement clutch, urethane filled stock upper/lower and trans mounts, and stock axles. Hotchkis springs and sways on stock struts for suspension.

I am thinking a set of M&H 24.5/8.5/15s, but I don't know if they will clear the struts... I want to get a set of matching 15" centerline storms for slicks. I have 17s on the car for the street. What do you guys think?

Should I launch on or off boost, and at what RPM?
