just wondering what are the risk of damaging something with slicks popping the clutch at 4500k? i have motor mount inserts, goldline springs, and glacious traction bars (on order) stock clutch, transmission mount, axles...thanks in advance.
ok, so i have stock mm, stage 1 springs, and that's it for suspension... i'm going to be running 24x8x15 slicks. Am I going to break shit, if I dump the clutch at 5k or above???

So how exactly are you guys launching? Drop the clutch and immediately stomp on the gas or are you suppose to wait till the slicks bite then floor it?

Looks like this thread died out but wanted to find out some info too since I will be running 23/8.0 - 15 M/H slicks on Rota Slipstream rims (15x7).
As for mods,
S2 PCM
AGP WGA 16 PSI
TXS HPBC 20 PSI
S1 springs
Glacial Graphics 4 bar Traction Bars
W/M injection (not working at the moment but will)
55mm Bored TB+Spacer
PsiFi Upper/Lower MM (no tranny mount)
Needswings DP
Front/Rear Strut bars
Stock O2 Housing
Stock turbo
Stock axles
Currently running the 1/4 mile in 13.808 @ 105 mph on streets. Launching at about 2500 rpm. I am currenly putting down about 285 hp/342 lbs tq.
I am planning on upgrading the axles sometime over the winter but just wanted to know if I got the rims and slicks in I might be able to hit the track once before winter. Just wanted to know if it would be a problem running them and roughly what RPM to launch them at. Also the burnout since I have zero experience with Slicks/DRs.
hi guys i'am new in srt-4 world i just bought a 2005 but i think i have problems with it beacuse the temperature of the car go up of the 200 F i want to know if that is normal? other thin is that i make 17 Psi once but the other times i just got 13 Psi but now it just make 10Psi which is the stock fabric Psi for the srt-4 please help me i wan't to know if my car is havin problems
Now, in order to get help you need to make sure you post in the right location. This would fall under either general discussion or problem, dealer, etc...
Ok, with that said, your car will react differently with boost depending on the weather. The PCM will increase boost in warmer weather and decrease boost in colder weather. you can take that control away from the car by running a new boost line from your turbo directly to your wastegate but I would recommend getting either a boost controller or a aftermarket wastegate (kinetic and AGP are both pretty good).
As for the temp, it is normal. if you want it to run cooler you can swap out the thermostat for a 180 degree one from Napa (part number THM 153) and it will keep your car running inbetween the hash mark between 140 and 200 and the 200 mark. I think mine sits somewhere around 175-180 most of the time. It is great if you are into racing since it helps you keep the engine cool.

never a 1.6 on street tires and with out n20 never 398 on the stock turbo. ur really lucky to cut a 1.69 on slicks and a good suspension. also as above use the search button
I know this guy 88m and I am going to raise the ole' BS flag. 396whp with or without nitrous fucking good luck. He does not have the 300 whp mods even on his car. I dyno'd 283 whp and 339ft lbs on stock turbo 110 CAM2 race fuel running 12:4 a/f on 20lbs of boost. John until you post up time slips and dyno sheets from YOUR car the B/S flag will be dropped. But sorry buddy never seen anything over 350 whp on stock turbo.
