ISO Tire pressure tips. - SRT Forums

I'm riding on 245 BFG Star Spec Z1 street tires and looking for some overall launching tips.
I have boost by gear and 2 step.

I havn't tested the 2 step at the track but I figure it's not worth a damn on street tires as I have to be WOT vice a controlled launch, is this false? I figure launching on street tires regarless of RPM will send me spinning, unless I turn the boost down a ton. I've been launching ~12psi in first with a controlled launch. Generally at 29psi.

Also, I'm experimenting with my tire pressure but by my times seem to bounce around a lot so I can never be sure whats better. I'm averaging around 2.1x.... I've only really tested 23psi vice 29psi and I was doing better on 23psi.... how low can this tires go and still be safe? At what point will going to low be adverse and why?

Also, tire temp. As they are street tires.... the colder the better correct? No burnouts, no water?(this is what I've been doing)

I think first of all you need to figure out what kind of tire you have because BFG DOES NOT make a Star Spec, and secondly I would run about 20-24 psi, just see what works for you.
