Default Drag Racing Issues

Hey Guys,

I've been to the track twice now, and have had so-so results. I'd like some feedback from the experienced racers if possible. I have the following mods:

Stage 2 with toys
MaxFabb 3" o2 housing
Mopar Cat Delete Down Pipe
Mopar Cat Back
CCA Direct Fit IC
Zzapp TB and Spacer
BFG 225/50 R15 Drag Radials
Mopar STS

My best run tonight was 14.20 at 97.5mph. My 60 foot was 2.16 on that run. There were stage 3 cars running 12.8 at 114, and another running 13.4 at 108.
I think my car should be doing better. I am by no means the greates driver, but by my 60' time, I would think I'm getting off the line decently, but losing from there.
Any help would be appreciated.

P.S - Should the combo of BFG drag radials and 15" steelies drop the front at all? the front of the car is significantly lower now. would this have an effect?

Any help would be appreciated.

yeah you should be doing better...check for boost leaks and work on your 60' because you should be below 2.0 with radials. That tb might be leaking.

I was thinking of the TB as a problem. Any thoughts on the CCA direct fit? I'm going to do a boost leak test, and potentially put the stocker back in. Would that make 5-7 mph difference? Seems like power is my issue.

Check for boost leaks. What are you boosting at? How are your vac lines ran? What rpm are you launching at? Do you heat up the dr's good? All of these may play a part in why you are running in the 14's still.

I haven't checked for boost leaks. My boost gauge is on the fritz, and I wil be installing another. I launch at about 2000pm, for my 2.16.

F0r one run I went up against the S3 car. I was 2.16, he was 2.07 on slicks. He was 12.60 at 114, I was 14.3 at 96.

I ran a 13.65@103 with S1, SBR wga, SBR mbc, MPx udp, Injen intake and 18" street tires. 2.111 60'. Something is leaking would be my guess. Check the tb. Are you running the wga off of the stock lines? Try resetting the pcm, maybe you went into a limp mode for some reason and you don't know it.

You should be better, I am betting on boost leaks. I have stage 2 w toys on HOM, maxfab dp with cat, mopar/borla catback,a k&n drop in and the same tires as you. I have gone 13.005 @ 107 on street night with minimum track prep. Oh and my nose is about 2 inches lower with the bfg dr at 16 pounds.
