If you are at a race track in Poland where the water box is a pond next to the staging lanes then yes.

Its all in good fun I can assure you.

Anyway, if you run a CAI you may want to get a splash shield, but not because of going through the waterbox at the track. Also, If you are not installing slicks drive around the waterbox since you're not going to need to do a burn out, you would be just doing a quick blip or chirp to clean off any pebbles and such...........waterbox is for those running slicks to do burnouts. If you do a burn out with street tires you might just make the tires slimy, meaning hot but not sticky.

I think you do water box burn outs with drag radials as well. I would check with the tire maker to be sure though.

burnouts with drag radials, slicks, dot slicks are reccommended to get full traction.

Don't blame SIR. That track does a good enough job prepping. With good tires (not drag radials, just get slicks) you'll cut sub-2.0 times easily.

Just keep practicing the launch.
