Anyway, if you run a CAI you may want to get a splash shield, but not because of going through the waterbox at the track. Also, If you are not installing slicks drive around the waterbox since you're not going to need to do a burn out, you would be just doing a quick blip or chirp to clean off any pebbles and such...........waterbox is for those running slicks to do burnouts. If you do a burn out with street tires you might just make the tires slimy, meaning hot but not sticky.

thanks everyone this will be my second time going to the track and before i wasnt even prepared kind of an in a hunch, so i wasnt sure about it, i had my SRI, spare tire in the back, front worn street tires at 35psi

with a 2.54 60ft
oh and the track wasnt prepped, tucson members can vouch for the track

Don't blame SIR. That track does a good enough job prepping. With good tires (not drag radials, just get slicks) you'll cut sub-2.0 times easily.
