Ok my bad... abusing my trans, your right I am; it's called racing. If you think for one minute I'm going to argue with any of you, you couldn't be more wrong. Actually I was just making the suggestion to stay out of the the damn water unless you have slicks on the damn car, this was the driver mod. Some people don't think about that. You want an explanation on why you can't get a good burn out on slicks even you go through water. Well, only a few things I can think of, you haven't got enough power to spin your tires, you've got to much torque and your rims are spinning on your slicks or you just suck and don't know what you are doing. And it's not really abuse on anything when you just let your car rock backward and toss it in first, if you try reading this time I had said this was the trick I use just to get them spinning not a driver mod. If it doesn't make sense to you that's fine. Because your ignorant and daft attitude doesn't make sense to me. I was simply making a suggestion. For street tires and DR's only, nowhere did it say anything about slicks. And of course it's not very practical to burn out street tires, but it's just stupid to try and run slicks when you don't even have the torque to spin some street tires. I grew up racing jr. dragsters... You sir are absolutly right I'm a fucking retard. I've just spent my entire life around the tracks. You aren't even worth getting upset over. Go crash into a wall, just wishing you my best.

I don't appreciate being called a retard. Especially by someone older than I am. Simple as that.

OMG, so much dumb information in this thread. Just dump your clutch and rev higher, what is the problem? You don't need to do a john force burnout with street tires, just spin them a little bit, and your set. Big burnouts for for slicks, in the water box.

well if you go back and READ what i said . i said that is retarded i never called you a retard you illiterate prick.

look here son im glad you have been racing since jr drag it nice to see that your grown up now.. the point i was making was your puitting your car threw enough abuse rockin back and forth honestly not good for tranny axles ect. im trying to save you some $$$$$. your car has enoug power to spin the tires without rockin it. if you grew up aroud a track you would know that

Here is what I do....

Drive around water..... stage... launch. No burnout. 1.7's every time on 23.5" slicks.
In my Horizon I have cut 1.6x's 60 ft times with no burnout.

2nd gear, dropping the clutch at 5k+ rpms and your golden, stock clutch or not it will work, i've done it in many SRT-4's

Yep the problem you guys are having is to low of an rpm for doing the burn out. Tire is spinning less and actually gripping instead of doing a good burn out. Just like launching the car actually.. if you launch it lower it catches traction, if you dumped it at 4k and held wot.. the tires spin WAY more and you don't really go forward.

I dump the clutch in 2nd at 5k, and it spins for a second, and pulls me right out of the box! I've tried feathering the gas, and also holding it. Either way it pulls me right out of the box.
