Default Best launchable street tires ?

Well , now that the idiots at Falken have stopped making the Azenis Sport RT-215 tires , I need another good streetable tire that provides a good launch also ..... The Azenis was GREAT for that..... sigh
Nitto 555 drag radials was my first consideration , but they don't make a 225 45 17 , which is what I need ..... so they're out ...
BF Goodrich Drag Radials are NO GOOD for interstate driving , so they're out ...
Here's the hard part : I need something that can be driven ( carefully ) in the rain , and that is safe for interstate driving , in size 225 45 17 ...It needs to hook as well as possible on a 460 hp SRT-4 ..... Yeah I know ... Good fucking luck !! Still your opinions are wanted .....
Thanks

try the BFG gforce t/a KD, i think they come stock on 03-04 cobras, but your stock KDW tires are pretty good... thats if you still have them somewhere

the ptperformance launch boost controller will get rid of your power at the press of a button. this allows you to launch at full throttle and whenever you want to release the button, you da man. its adjustable so you can tweak it a little and find out where the sweet spot is.

I pulled many 1.9x 60's with some 225/40 yokohama parada spec II's, on 18's.

best was a 1.93

best on stock tires was 1.98

I liked them, they hooked fairly well off the line, for a street tire.

don't dump the clutch at 6 grand. Launch at 1800-2200 on stockers or get better tires and launch a little higher. No one should ever be getting 2.5's in this car.

after you drop the clutch---do you immediately hit the accelerator, or do you wait and then hit it to prevent hop

You NEVER hit the accelerator. You EASE on to it. I was able to pull off 2.08 60' times on cheap 215-45-17 Falken Ziex 512 tires all the while putting down 279 whp and 310 ft lbs. It's all about low boost in 1st gear AND taking it easy when you hit 2nd gear so as to not shock the tires loose(i.e. DON'T WOT shift from 1st to 2nd!!!).

I also use those same exact tires (I got them because they have very long tread life and were cheap, as well as having received a good rating from consumer reports). Falken Ziex 512 215/45/17. My best time with those tires are the 2.0 listed in my sig. They're definitely good for drag racing imo.

goodyear eagle f1 tires are really good tires for the street and track..they suck when it comes to winter driving but really really good for summer and rain driving.I recommend those.Dont get the one's with the thick sidewall!!
