Default Best 60' foot times on 17inch DR's

Just came across a pretty good deal on some 225/45/17 BFG DR's on stock wheels and was wondering what some of you guys 60 foot times were. i'll only be using these on the track as i want the tires to last as long as possible. my best 60 foot time to date is 2.1 on street tires, and was hoping maybe i could get 1.9 with these. i see alot of 15 inch DR's guys are getting those times, was just wondering if the 17's were as good? mods in my sig, thanks.

When I had the car with just a spring mod and K&N dropin with stock MMs I ran a 1.94 with the 225 45 17 BFG DR.

I get consistent 2.0X with them. First time at the track last night with the 2-step and traction control so I was hoping for some 1.9s but I broke an axel instead.

I am not sure. I had minimal wheel hop when it happened. The axles have about 60 passes on them. I use to have really bad wheel hop before I got all solid mounts and traction bars but it really wasnt bad on that run. I usually have no wheel hop but they had very little water in the burnout boxes that night and I was having a hard time heating up the DRs properly.

Well at first I was, but I may have a chance to get new oem axles at a great deal. So much so that I might just have to go with them based on my financial situation and the fact that I have heard many people have broken just as many stage 3 and stage 5 aftermarket axles.

I have started to think it was good that the stock axle broke rather than sending all that force into the tranny and breaking that. Then again I have yet to get the car up on the lift to see if the axle is the only broken component.
