Well, Chad(Thesleeper) was first in utah to hit 11's, just barely before I could (damn HOM issues). Anyway, I replaced the knock sensor, and ran the car tonight with sunoco 112 and had no issues this time with HOM. I got two runs in. They are as follows:
Overall, I'm very impressed with these times, especially considering that the motor is 100% stock (no ported head, no cams, no bottom end work), and the fact that the elevation is around 4500+ ft. at RMR. Humidity was around 40% (rain storm had just passed through).
As for a mod list, here goes:
Mopar S3R w/toys
3" O2 housing
3" turbo back exhaust(no cat)
JMB ultimate intake
Psi-Fi direct fit intercooler
AGP S3 wga(stock line)
LFS 60mm TB with spacer
Turbo XS bov
Boomba race mounts(all 3)
24.5x8.5 slicks on traklite rims
Good job Chuck.........What were you shifting at by the way?
I'm shifting right around 6300 rpms. (WOT shifting, in case anyone was wondering). Thanks for all the comments. This car is awesome!
Thats why your mph is lacking alittle.......With your hp you should be at 118 mph in the 1/4.......Hell,I shift my car at 6000 and I have cams......
Looking at your dyno sheet, your car makes peak hp at around 5200-5300.You should be shifting at around 5900,no more than 6k....This way after the shift the car will fall back into the fat part of its powerband and this will accellerate you faster.......
This is just some food for thought...Hell you are in the 11's thats more than I can say for myself........
Well, got a new personal best today. Tried launching off the rev limiter, and it turned out to be a good way to go. Anyway, let's get to the meat and potatoes of it right now.
All in all, I am very happy with the times I have achieved with such minimal mods. I'm pretty excited to get my ported head on the car and see what that nets me. For anybody that may have missed this part, the track sits at about 4500 ft above sea level, so the air density isn't the greatest out this way. Anyway, more to come soon!
