I guess you could always send a money order or something to ekool.. although your "update" to the members area will take more time to process

I'll take MO's, Cashiers Checks, good old cash (altho, technically it is illegal to send cash) -- I'll even take personal checks...

The price will be $30/year also. We will be testing and unveiling some of the benefits of the OC very soon now.

In fact, see this post:

Not yet We are not accepting any donations or payments just yet. So far, the site is entirely supported by our vendors, so support them!

Isnt anyone complaining about not being able to manage your posts like before the new format?

I have to now physically check all my posts by during a search by user, then manually clicking on the post to see if I need to do a followup reply. Or see if the post had any activity.

Am I not figuring something out on the new forum - to do this?
The new way has NO POST MANAGEMENT!

Thanks for the rant.

I'm not saying anything else about the site. ;-)

But I do want to pay tribute to your (coolpixer's) way cool graphics. I've always liked that avatar. The moving boost gauge is natural but wicked. And the new photo (in your sig?) is awesome. Do you work for an ad agency or photo studio? Your work (if it is yours) is major.

By default, you subscribe to any post that you participate in. You would have to manually turn off this feature in your control panel.

When you also click on User CP up at the top, it will show ANY post that you have participated in that has a post you havent seen (ie, any new post) -- So you can keep up on what you've posted in and needs your attention, and what hasnt.

In addition, at the forum index, or by clicking the 'new posts' button, you will see an index list of posts that are new.

Any post you participated in will have a little icon of a small person by the folder, showing that you have participated in that thread, and it may need your attention again

The above image shows a thread that you have participated in, but has nothing new...

The above shows a thread you have participated in, that is hot, and has new posts.

Hope this helps.

Dro,

Come on, dont hold back. I think we address every suggestion, complaint, etc. and at least consider a fix, or implement one if it is available

Yes, I should give props where props are due. I was not happy with the new site. I was secretly hoping they would give up on the new site due to all of the complaints, and go back to the old one. C'mon, it wouldn't be that hard! You still have the original backups don't you!?

I think this site is pretty cool now. I still think I'm missing new posts because of the way the Active Topics and New Posts work. BUT.... the site is much better than at first, and I should have listened to them and mostly everybody else. They would get it right eventually.

The sponsored sections are great and make perfect sense. And I like the photo gallery and video games. Those aren't things you see on every board.

And the porn. My God, the porn. It alone will be worth $30 a year.

So anyway, I'm sorry if I was a bit of a dick. Didn't mean to be. It was because I cared .

Yes, I second that. It's not always easy to tell what a thread is about from the subject. If I see that it's in the Canadian Forum, I'm not interested in it (Sorry Canada).
