SRT10 Power Kit 2006 Viper - SRT Forums

I have just purchased a 2006 Viper from a Dodge Dealer, they were unaware that the car had an SRT10 Power Kit added to the car which includes a new engine controller, cam, and exhaust system. My question is that the new engine controller will not allow the a/c to turn on because it shuts off all power sources that are not required to gain more hp. Does anybody have an answer as to how to reactivate the a/c because the Dodge dealer I am dealing with does not, yet they say there the biggest Viper dealer in the southern states.

Was the Kit installed by that Dealership? if not, where was it installed at?

the dealership has no idea, they think it was installed at the factory but they are not sure because they picked the car up from an auction in Michigan. They believe it was a factory install because the car has never been titled. I bought the car with 700miles and I am the first owner.

You can always call chrysler to find out with the vin number that will know exactly what has been done. they are fast too

I called this number 1(888)525-hemi, I'm pretty sure thats the number, anyway that is Chrysler SRT Tech. support and those guys know eveything and anything about mopar performance parts. My car has an earlier version of the engine controler module. They have an update which allows the a/c to turn on, and the dealership where i purchased the car from is paying to have everything done. So I'm back in action once the parts come in next week.

The mopar performance computers do not allow the A/C to work. I'm sure you've figured that out now. We had a huge problem with one last year. Ended up buying a new PCM and having B&G performance reflash it.

Everything has been sorted out, I spoke with a representative from Chrysler on Saturday along with the owner of the dealership where the car was purchased from and they assured they will do whatever it takes to make me happy. So they are installing the updated computer which allows the a/c to turn on and they are also supplying me with an original camshaft and the original exhaust just to have if I ever decide to sell the car and the next owner wants all the original parts. They are also supplying me with a car cover, floor mats, jacket, and door sills. And Chrysler is tagging the car in there system as a one off car because all the work was done in house when the car was built and it was to be used as a show car which it was but when they were finished touring with the car they sent it to the auction and forgot to change the car back to stock, so they are supplying me a certificate stating all this information.
