New major delays??

I just called the dealer a few days ago to check on ETA for my 300C I ordered April 28 (they've been estimating end of June for delivery). They said there would be no builds for ANY 300's during June and July, and my ETA was late August now!

Has anyone else heard about these major delays and the "no builds in June and July" story? I'd heard a few things about sunroofs delaying things, but nothing like this...

BS, wanna watch your dealer squirm like a fish? ask him for your VON#, be prepared to want to knock him in the jaw.

Well I've had my VON for a while. I called Chrsler last week, they said a couple more weeks, but it's not in build phase yet. Then I talked to the dealer Saturday and they said this build freeze "just happened in the last day or two" which sounds EXTREMELY fishy to me.

I don't suppose this is as ALL related to the fact that they're charging $4,000 over sticker. (One dealer here in L.A. is charging $10,000 over.)

Anybody know how to check VON's? Chrysler's site isn't letting me login anymore...

my dealer (also in LA) tried to tell me the same BS about no builds in July.. one quick glance at the Bramton Assemby plant's (where our cars will eventually be built) online forum shows that they are working 7days/wk and are calling back hundreds of laid off auto workers for a 3rd shift and that the plant will NOT BE CLOSED DOWN like the dealer is telling us... I ordered my 300c loaded except for UConnect, Sat Radio & cold weather on 5/2, VON 1295xxxx and am still getting the runaround.. not to mention I have to call my dealer to get ANY update and have since pretty much given up on them and getting any info.. They have my deposit and I'm hoping my relatively early order will miraculously start to move through soon but it's hard not to just say screw the hassle and go give my money to the cadillac dealership which has called me more times since my test drive than the freakin dealership I gave my money to for my 300c... not to mention the fact that I bought my wife a PT at the same time I ordered my 300 so the dealershipshould be kissing my @#$ and sending me flowers!

sorry for the ranting but this is really starting to get to me!

As of this morning 6/16 the "help line" at DC headquarters still says my order is on hold for "material restrictions" aka the infamous "did you order it with a sunroof... ohhhh that must be it" excuse
