"300C success has Chrysler mulling production boost"
The success of the 300C sedan, the 5.7-liter Hemi engine and high expectations for the Dodge Magnum launching this week and Dodge Charger due out next year has Chrysler mulling production hikes to meet demand.
"Demand for both the 300C and the Hemi has been beyond our wildest dreams," says Chrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche."
Yes! All LX chassis cars will be built at the Brampton facility in Ontarioy Canada. All 5.7 liter Hemi engines are built in Mexico. All the 5-Speed Transmissions are built in Kokomo Indiana.
Don't suppose any spy photographers up that way? I REALLY want to see the REAL Charger. I appreciate the artists conception and all. but the real thing would be cool. We had the photos of the SRT-4, 300, and Magnum maybe a year before release, why can't we see the Charger.
(now wheres my cheeese to go with my whine)

I used to own one of the first SRT-4s sold, bought it new in Feb 2003, sold it Nov 2006 with 75K and Stage 3. Now I drive a 2006 SRT-8 Charger.
The problem with the current production of the Hemi 5.7, it is running at max capacity. I hear that they are trying to increase the production to 500K. But, seeing four other vehicles coming using the same engine, I cannot see them making the quota.
Hmm...the last guys who took some photos of the plant and the one who took the 6.1 Hemi engine pic were fired. The firsts did return to work since he was not the individual who took the pics but the latter didn't.
KeithO was correct that the Charger mule came in a pair: 2-door, and a 4-door. The style cue that closely resembled the next Charger is already out. HINT.... were posted.
It has some style cues from the Super 8 (rear), Airflite (guess this one), 99 Concept (side), and rides large dub rims (LOL).
I am hoping that Knots will be showing it at the next SEMA (November) but not holding my breath.
Oh, hemi, I don't mean that kind of spy photo, getting folks fired is not a cool thing at ALL!!!!! I mean a Jim Dunne kinda deal. Glad to hear the 4 door mule thing
Til the rugrats are gone, I'm just too damn lazy to lean a seat forward
November? Ah, well, patience and virtue and all that crap

this statement is not totally true, though they will be at the max soon they are not yet. and yes they are trying to increase hemi #'s, look for another plant soon because there are many other products that will use hemi's and then they will be over capacity
