Default $250.00 Disloyalty Discount?!?

You’ll love this: GM is offering a $250.00 disloyalty discount to anyone that takes a 24 hour test drive of any eligible GM product but buys another brand instead. How awesome is that?!? As listed in an article on The Motley Fool today this is probably one of GM’s dumbest moves yet, and that’s saying something! Take home a GM for a day and let GM help make your down payment on your new Chrysler 300C…

Now why couldn't they do this April 11th? That would have given me *just* enough time

Then again, you pretty much have to get credit approval / sign the papers before you take a vehicle on a 24/hour test drive from GDuM.... so bah.

Is there any down side to getting credit approval or signing the papers in order to get the test drive? I mean. I'm not worried about the credit thing. I'll deal with the paper work. My wife and I are both attorneys so I'm not too concerned about being tricked, manhandled, or otherwise abused by the showroom vultures. I wouldn't mind taking a GTO home for a day. Maybe the day of a local autocross practice???

Maybe one of those SAAB WRX wagons is Swedish clothing? A Z06 Corvette??? Take the homies through the neighborhood in an Escalade?

I'm sure you're right. I'll have to check it out though.
