Default Just bought a Pacifica!!

Just got home a little while ago with my brand new Chrysler Pacifica!! I love this thing. We bought the FWD because the AWD was not in the budget at this time. Our lease on our 2001 Grand Cherokee was up in May of 2004, but we were only 250 miles away from going over on the lease.

It's Silver with a taupe interior. It is amazing how much room these things have. The car is very refined and I can definitely see Mercedes starting to rub off on Chrysler vehicles. It is even built on the Mercedes E class chassis. I'll post pics when I take them!!

Nice =) I'm hoping my dad replaces his Grand Voyager with one of them, they seem pretty nice!
How does it drive?

So far it drives great and a real solid feel. I haven't opened it up yet, but I'm patiently waiting to unleash all 250 ponies! I'll give a better review when I have it longer.

Tell your dad that hey just slapped a 3K rebate on them until Jan 02, 2004. I got a great deal because my pops works for DCX. After employee price and rebate. I payed 23,300 +T&T!! Not bad for a 30K vehicle!!

that's sweet. my mom bought a silver awd about 2 months ago. absolutely love it! very sharp design, sweet handling, awesome ride... a little weak on power though. overall i think it's sweet as hell.

i wonder y sales aren't so good? any ideas? i think people might just not even look at it because it's chrysler... thinking there's no way chrysler can put out such a nice, pretty luxurious car. for a nice vehicle like so, they just look at the companies more well known for nice cars like lexus or bmw

I passed on the stock sound upgrades and I'm having a 6 disc DVD/CD changer put in with a flip down 8" screen. I'm also getting all the adapters so I can hook up my PS2!

WRX4m3, I really hope the Oblivion pieces/ugrades come out for it!! I love that car and everything they have done with it. I really need to find out how they got 400 ponies out of that thing.

joker, you lost me with c.r.e.a.m???

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

That Chrysler Salesman lied to you. The Pacifica is not built on the Mercedes E-Class chassis. It has a suspension designed like or similar to the E-Class. From Edmunds.com:

"The Pacifica uses a five-link independent rear suspension that was optimized in the Mercedes-Benz driving simulator in Berlin. Its architecture (not parts) is borrowed from the recently redesigned Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan."

The platform is still a Chrylser. From AutoNews.com Oct 20, 2003:

"DETROIT - Chrysler has put a $3,000 rebate on the 2004 Pacifica. The company has acknowledged that sales of the vehicle, derived from its minivan platform, have started slowly. The vehicle went on sale in March."
