New Ram + Old Ram (94-01) + New Durango = New Dakota!!

Nice, although I don't like the front of the car (how the hood connects with the bumper and around the headlights)

It may be slow, but V8 + manual transmission + RWD = always some fun to be had

probably will have the 3.7, 4.7 and 5.7L engines to chose from with the 3.7 a base motor and the 5.7 the high end crew cab and regular cab performance models (r/t?). leaving the 4.7 as the most used engine in most of the trucks. i doubt they will have a 4 cyl, scince they dropped the old one and offered rebates and free upgrades to NOT buy the old 4 cyl engine. the dakota is to big for a 4 cyl unless its the srt-4 turbo engine but we all know they arent going to go that route. i dont like the rear taillights they need to be more smooth and not all stickin out like that and the front end needs to settle down some and look more like the curent model and the sudden stop of the body buldge on the door is alittle weird its like they just got tired and stopped and never started again. it needs to floe into the door more or not have such a buldge to start with. the inside is cool xcept for the radio knobs that look like they floated off the radio making aftermarket radios a tough fit. the panel around the radio looks alittle bland everything is totally square and flat it needs some more shape to the center dash stuff. i hope they offer a manual 4wd setup and an electronic set up for the lazy. and one model at least better have a hemi a R/T OR SRT package would be cool also and a stick shift in the big engines not just the base motors like they usually do, though u could get a 4.7 in a stick before.

it could use more gauges and numbers on the coolant gauge it has now i think all gauges should have numbers and not H and C or H and L. with letters its just a souped up idiot light that wont get noticed as fast as a idiot light. i like gauges the more the better and they need numbers so i know exactally whats going on so i can say yeah my truck runs at 205 degrees and not my truck runs in the middle of the gauge actually alittle to the right of the middle sometimes closer to the red area with the a/c on like 3 mm from the red zone. or my oil pressur is like a little below the middle sometimes closer to L when i first start it. i think the gas gauge should be numbered to and be damn acurate so i know how many gallons i have left. right now the gas gauge drops like mad to E or the low fuel light but then i have driven close to 50 miles without running out of gas i mean the second low fuel light wont come on untill the needle is resting on the needle stop. so the gas gauge is far from acurate but at least its not like gm where once the gauge reads E your out i run out of gas in gm cars alot from playin how low can i go. dodge is the other way in both my srt and my truck u can drive with the light on for three days before refilling.

..you have a good eye, i was surprised that the radio was so square and it all looks hurried and glued in place, most real digital radio"s have no knobs, looks better, and less apt to get knocked off or broken, i guess its a small thing ,but you pointed out many things that should have been different, which i agree with. the concept cars dont reflect that sort of (piecing) together parts, it mostly looks aero style with a lot of thought and fitting. i have a 98 dakota love the dash in mine but in 2000 they changed it and its horrid. too much flatness , and its like they cut a hole in the flatness ,and shoved in a component....no thought there. like if you build a soap box derby buggy, add a battery, a slab of wood, cut a hole in the wood, slide in a radio and boom!!! its cool when your ten years old!! hemihunter
