Not what I expected...didn't show the R/T version but some quad cab and a club cab with a lame duck 4.7.

Even the HO was not impressive.

did you acually go to the show? dont think it starts till the 10th for reg. visitors..one site i was on showed just what you said and no r/t version......i emailed diamlerchyrsler headquarters and asked them to get the lead out!! theres rumors that by the time the srt8 comes out ,chevy will have a ss version ready soon on a small truck platform with you guessed it .......a honkin v/8....also some foreign makes are upping their trucks for more power and lighter weight......looks like war of the companys!! but the good thing is.........might push the srt8 out and about sooner!!

No...that is the reason why. Received an advance e-mail about not showing an R/T version.

seems their more interested in snagging the load carrying people, plus the 4 door version is more money. all the while, all the other brands are showing their performance trucks and cars, some people that dont follow automotive market and theres lots, wont even know about the r/t..until they give the info to the dealers. but by then they could be lured away from buying a dakota...ive heard lots of people comment about the chevy canyon, saying hey look! they offer this and that style and model,if your looking at the auto show so far ,hey dodge offers a 4 door pickup! whoopeeeeeee! a contractors dream, but they will go with the ram ........more room!! .......if they wanted to snag the market and wow the people at the auto show there should have been 3 trucks there!! a 2 door a 4 door and a hemi srt8 all at the same time!! people like a choice!! and one with the 6 cyl and another with the 4.7 noting that there are 2 choices for the 4.7.....in other words a complete picture! im sick!

Let hope that the SRT-8 doesn't fall through the crack for 06.

[i]yah it would be a big let-down........no srt8!! its hard to believe they would ignore that opportunity.......but they got behind becouse of the platform deal,sharing with the durango....so many srt8's so little time!!
