what do you mean "has a job #1"

Also I've seen a purplish colored 05 Dak...is that under "Special Paint".

And what's up with this late availability crap on the H.O.'s? How late is late.

JOB#1 means finishing date.

Nooooooo! Not the purple look again. I had to laugh at the 6-speed manual. It is the same one that is used on the Cummins 5.9 I-6. i wondering if they are planning a diesel version.

Engines are backlogged. I will say this, there is a SRT version of Dakota sitting in the SRT building right now.

Tell me it has a 6.1 matted to a T-56!

I'm still debating what to do....I love my current Dak...I'm still fixing it up....I love the new Dak.....I have 2 stock pairs of oem tail lamps for it, and 1 V8 badge, another on the way.............but yet every time I come to the board, I want an SRT-4. And if I go for the new Dak.......it's hard to wait for the SRT version.

Job #1 ususally means the first on-line build date.

The LD DR (Light Duty Dodge Ram) and ND (05 New Dakota) use a Getrag transmission. HD DR (Heavy Duty Dodge Ram) uses a PowerSystems transmission. They are not one and the same. Torque capacity is immensely different between the two.

I think the special paint comes in the form of R/T version. The purplish color is actually a dark burgandy or dark cherry. In highline trim, it looks the sharpest.

The HO is not backlogged. It was never planned to implimented until late in the model year.
