I think the scammer section is appropriate. He got ass raped by DCR and he was technically scammed. He paid top dollar for a bullet proof motor, yet the motor couldn't last more than 3 weeks. This is MUCH worse than someone scamming someone by not sending out a $100 blow off valve or a $300 turbo.

AGREED! Some people get on here and cry about 50 cent O-rings or 20 dollar catch cans but this is really a Crime.

dcr in house built bottom end. long blocked was put in the car by someone else. car was taken back to dcr because i didn't trust this persons work. i paid 400 dollars to have the whole car looked over front to back for any problems. i was willing to replace or pay for any short comings. it was then given the dcr stamp of approval making it safely a dcr built installed and tuned setup. nothing has bin said to me from dcr for a resolution at all.

short block estimated around 7000.

copied from 2 year old emails.

Hi Brad,

I went over the email with Darrell. We want to get the car down here for an inspection to verify that the entire product is in the vehicle. In order to do that we will need to pull the oil pan, valve cover, head and then go over all the wiring. It will take 4 hours to do all of us to verify your list due to pulling the oil pan and valve cover. Our labor charge is $100/hour.

Darrell doesn’t see any potential problems with the mods that you believe you have. Once we verify the items, then we can move forward on what we need to fix to make it a DCR car and to run to yours and our standards.

Darrell can work you into the schedule at any time. Feel free to bring your car this Saturday or any Saturday if that best suits your schedule. We will schedule it to review that following week and let you know where your car stands.

We look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Jennifer

thanks for the quick response. i know off the bat the meth injection kit is a mess. all i have is a pump and some short sections of standard tubing and 1 of the 2 needed drilled and tapped jets for the intake mani/up pipe. i also don't know what fuel pump i have as its external and wrapped up so you cant see it. i am suppose to have a brand new exhaust manifold and a .63ar HP61mm turbo which i am not sure i have. as far as whats internal as far has the head/bottom/tranny and intake manifold assembly i can only assume i have what i am suppose to have. i'm also pretty sure im missing the dcr top end modifier. it was one of the things said he would handle and order and i dont think it ever got done.

what i want done though is a complete front to back inside and out looking over and checking of everything. tq'd spec bolts. proper grade bolts (i found a standard non graded bolt used for a motor mount) checking of wiring inside and out.

then once the car is much more reliable to everyone and to me. have it road tuned for max power with meth injection and 93oct as well as tuned in for limited power during the 1-2 gears enough to let the tires have some form of traction. this is after i finish the engine break in period and give it a full fluid change (sitting at only 100miles now). then have it dyno tuned on race fuel (once the cat is switched out for the strait pipe) and try to make somewhere in the high 500s or low 600s with the 750cc injectors. i would really like to work with the parts at hand but if you have to switch or modifie things in order to fully use what i have whatever the case maybe i have no problem with purchasing what is needed. ie: differnt wastgates springs, bov springs, replaceing faulty gaskets, buying the topend modifer to fix the 6200rpm stumble and so on.

let me know whenever what you would like to do as far as scheduling, pricing and so on. thanks again for your help.
