as a previous ups employee i can tell you that:
1) the maximum weight allowed for a non-freight package is 150 pounds. however most boxes cannot withstand that limit.
2) this box was far from adequetly packed, and ups wont give a shit about the contents because of this.
3) it's very possible no one signed for the package.

as stated before i would contact ups anyways and see what they say. They wont give you an insurance claim, but they may be able to direct you in the right direction.

Wow! There is no excuse that can possibly be made for that packaging. I would put ALLLLLLLL the blame on PTP. No bubble wrap or anything. That's absolutely horrible. Def. not a reputable vendor.

That looks like a weak box anyway. There's no way I 'd put a block in there. Chief better not get banned. This section should stay alive b/c that's ridiculous.
Not only that but the box looks like it was used before.
