I know its not as impressive as a 420+ 50trim but look at the powerband

that is exactly what i wanted to say but from reading the whole thread i was a little lol but yeah i sure if i get the s3k it will be packed up right and i know that PTP has had a bad history but i still want that turbo lol and im sure they will get things right it seems like they always correct there mistakes... well from what i know they do...
TK motorsports strapped a block for me, they cracked the bedplate in the process, now Rush being the man of good standards he is, gave me my money back for the strap kit, I shipped the straps and studs back, and he then gave me 800 for a new block. To me that was fair because I had a good block with 8k miles on it, and he knew it... Just an idea of how things worked out... 400 is pretty cheap for a block. Best of luck in resolving this matter PTP and Chief
That is fair for a good block that he ruined, we are not dealing with a good block in this matter.
Now that I have had some time to think about it here is the kicker that really upsets me.
The original deal was I was going to send him a good block for $100, yes a $100 + shipping. Cheif got upset because of our delivery times, and I decided it would be better that I refund his money and ship his "bad block" back to him. Now I have people telling me that I need to pay him $400 or more for a block that he couldn't even use? I have offered to send him another block that is of equal condition to the one that got ruined, is that not fair? Why should I have to pay 4 x that of what I was going to charge him for a zero bore block?
This is what gets me everytime. The motor was no good, the block I was going to send him was a ZERO bore workable block, he got his britches in a wad because we didn't ship it ASAP. How about, we pay him the $100 for the block that we were going to originally charge him, that is what I would consider fair.
But, its all been done and funds have been transferred just have to wait for the motor to be picked up and get the insurance money sent over to Cheif.
That was a long read. Glad it worked out. I sure didnt think the FU thread would get results.
We screwed up and I will admit that. I just wish a better approach could have been taken with us in this matter. Not one phone call, PM, or email made it to us. It was a phone call that directed me to this thread from another party.
crazy how people jump on the bandawagon, not even knowing whats going on, lol. looks like a shipping deal but somehow its ptp' fault that the people that shipped it kicked it out of the truck a few times. glad everything is worked out

LOL bandwagon??? Seems like this "bandwagon" has been rollin around for about 3 years ROFL
ITs his fault for not packing a 120 lb block the way it SHOULD be packed.... its not the shippers job to take GOOD care of your package. we all know what happens in transit. PACK IT GOOD and stable... This was not the case at all... UPS person said worst block packing he ever seen.
I got my pants in a BUNCH jon cause you cant seem to keep your word. Thought you where done with this thread long ago???? why are you still posting?

PTP when you fedex man gettin this block?
My personal experiences with PTP have all been good. But the packing job on that motor was obviously very poor.
I think that every company can make mistakes or package something in a way that doesn't secure the items enclosed. That happens. To me its less about the mistake, and more about how the situation is handled after the fact. You'll obviously be pissed at first, but if a company takes care of it quickly and to your satisfaction, you should try to be a bit more understanding.
After reading this, I do agree that PTP should have packed the motor much better (crate). And that regardless of the shipping company, PTP is at fault for damages. That being said, it seemed like PTP was more than willing to make it right and took full responsibility. I was shocked when it came to light that Chief hadn't even contacted PTP before posting this thread though. You should always contact the shipper and try to work things out before making a scene, IMO. And if the shipper doesn't provide good customer service to help solve your issues, then make a ruckus.
If I had shipped a block somewhere, and found out it was basically worthless (couldn't be bored or used), I probably wouldn't have even wasted the funds to have it shipped back. I would cut my loses at that point. As it was not even in core condition, let alone something I would feel comfortable selling to someone else. But if I wanted it back and was paying the shipping, I would expect that the shipper took the necessary steps to insure that I would get the same thing (same condition) I shipped to them.
I think the $315 deal plus a full refund on shipping was a pretty good deal for Chief--especially if the block was not useable. In a weird way, it was probably better that this happened, otherwise he would have been out more money and still had a worthless block.
It really sucks for everyone when these things happen, but we should all realize that unless this is a common occurance, we should be more concerned about how it is handled in the end, as you can't change what has happened in the beginning.
Chief--glad your build is working out now bro.
John -- I think you handled this well (but please no more packing motors in cardboard boxes)
Seeing how John worked this out, provides me with confidence in PTP, that if I have an issue, they will be fair and make it right with me.
If you know the whole story... you might than realize why i did not BOTHER calling them....Monica most likley what have said O jon is 'BUSY' can he call you back.... and than i never get a call back..... HOW many times did i do this.... LMAO so no, and you cant see photos over the phone....
YEa seems like it all worked out.... thats for the customers to judge.... And the ones that knew the whole story from beginning to end.
BUT im done... this thread is done... jon supposedly is done with this thread, yet he keeps posting... Ill let ya know when get my other 100 back.
thread closed since the OP said he's done with it and everthing is resolved.
