Two Portland Oregon area shops, one car, identical setups. Both tunes done in 50 degree rainy weather. Let the #'s speak for themselves. (I know it's not an srt-4, but it's a great comparison of two shops)
Btw, Surgeline told the customer that his car made 410 horsepower
looks like the surgeline car has a lot more in its tune. very conservative. not sure how the sti's should be tuned, but the least i can say is its gonna be safe. the pre tune looks great though. im sure if you leaned out the surgeline tune to 11.5 or so the numbers would match.
i like seeing stuff like this. it really gives you an idea of what the shops are doing.
oh, and just so you know..410bhp is 328 whp on an sti given a 20% parasitic drivetrain loss. so i'd say he was pretty much deadnuts on.

yeah but they told the owner that he was 410 wheel. As for leaning out, that 1 point will only usually get you 5% or so. The power comes from varying fuel trims at different points in the rpm band to assist spoolup as well as better timing. Surgelines was "over conservative" where PRE's is safe.
