I agree with Kevin. This was the car being like "let me DIE already" lol.
Funny thing is, I haven't raced it since 2 rebuilds ago. Took it to the 1/4 mi track ONCE after the first rebuild. Took it to PMI ONCE on a road course, right after turbo kit, and I'm not the street racing type.
I'm not modding shit from now on, I'll tell you that much.

This is some funny Shit right here. How could anyone buy anything from a vendor that makes statements like this? I will NEVER EVER buy anything from PTP EVER!!! Wow.
Honestly I've shown my 8 YO daughter the difference between Forged and Cast pieces, (No Really I have) and she can point it out. I do calibration work for Modern Drop Forge in Blue Island Illinois. Cant wait to go back and tell all the engineers there about Casted parts being the same as forged LOL

Quoted from them!!! this:TECH TIP: No machine work required for fitment or clearance!
Fits: Dodge Turbo Neon SRT-4
Part # BC-0160
They are for a single grove valve AFTERMARKET and would require the head to be machined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This would cause a failure in the Keepers by not allowing the surface area to cover the keepers correctly!!!!!
Check you part #s with the manufacturer dont believe a vendor or packaging facility that it was the correct part!
I am not blaming anyone but if a part comes in for your car and you bring it to a vendor and say here put it in my car they will its not there fault...
Not sure what this situation was but if they are incorrect it was the person that brought the part to the customer!
it pisses me off that you guys can all talk shit most of you can't even run 11's let alone 9's like we have. I am sure install error is no the problem. the car was 100 percent intact like we sent it out had to be driver error. either a misshift or severe overrev. even the out of state dealer he too k it to called us and said it was all installed correctly and everything looked good. so it is easy to jump to conclusions until the truth comes out. I don't post a lot od bad since I don't like to make anyone feel bad about anything but we went above ad beyond on this one.
One of the worst posts in this thread.
How fast a persons car is totally relevant to everything else
I dont think Blackbird is in the 9s, so I guess Ill ignore everything he posts.

I just meant it that it is funny when somoene that cant even install an intake on their own cars comes in and tries to bash on someone that checked all the clearances and made sure the entire build was perfect seems a little funny to me nothing else. I must have had a stick up my ass that day also wow i was a rude asshole.
had 1500mi on the valvetrain. springs and retainers were perfect valve stem was still in the keepers just broke right at the upset at the stem
Look for a sandy discoloration in the grain of the metal. Sounds like a bad valve. Been working with metal in various ways my whole life & it sounds like the grain of the metal in that area of the valve might have been misaligned or uncompacted (hard to explain). It happens a lot with sand casts due to less control of the metal during casting. It can even happen to forged parts. Just sounds like a bad valve that made it through QC. Happens when you mass produce something & I highly doubt that BC (or whoever made the valve) is going to shell out for a specialized x-ray machine to prevent this kind of thing from happening again (not cost effective).
Sorry to the OP but, it happens (even to NASCAR teams, just on the dyno though)

Well deciding which CAI to get is a pretty complex decision, as evident by the number of threads asking which one is best.
Also, I have $57 to spend, which mod should I get?
