Default Continuation of ptp's 514whp caliber thread

link to the thread, john closed it like a vajayjay and i did not have time to reply to some statements that were made.
514 WHP from the Caliber big turbo set up!!!

VSCHAOS "I know what you are saying....you are stating that PTP copied what dcr and realtune has done, but you cannot prove anything. As I stated just because it looks the same does not mean its the same. So just because realtune and dcr have a manifold that works with a big turbo....PTP should go out and custom make an equal length manifold just because anyone who has a log manifold would have obviously copied exactly what dcr and realtune? You have to be out of your mind if you believe that."

Im not trying to prove anything and im not saying ptp should have gone and built an equal length header just to be different. Im saying PTP waited until the product was already made by dcr and then followed the same route.
What I am trying to say is they copied the design maybe not exactly, but they were not the first to make it, im guessing john didnt even have the idea to modify the stock manifold until the pics were posted on caliberforums in july and he realized if dcr thinks its a good idea then it probally will work.

my point of all this being you guys seem to act like your the ones behind the innovation to all the newer cats, but you gotta give repect where its do

PTPPERFORMANCE " Sat back and browsed the forums and lurking? What the hell do you know? At least it didn't take us 6 months to build a kit for the car, or did you forget about that?

Same shit, what would it be better if we would have went with a bigger or smaller turbo, hell that is the only thing that is simlar between the two. So your speculation of this or that or ??? is just foolish. If you want to know what was done to the car... ask don't be rude and don't be a know it all. We are more then willing to share the info that we have."

I know you were banned from caliberforums for stepping on reputable vendors toes. And i know realtune has been particulary carefull not to post too much information or pics because they did not want a certain someone to get ahold of them.
It didnt take 6 monthes to build the kit, as stated earlier the first kit was done summer of 08 long before you made yours. Certain companies like to test products thru and thru so they know they are worth a damn before release to the consumer. You could learn a few things here I.E super 60 turbo

This is one vendor I don't have any parts from anymore. Back in the day I had the ptp launch boost controller and it never seemed to do anything. I believe my last coil heat shield was also made by them, and the weld ended up breaking on it and the whole top half fell off while driving one night when turbo666 and I were on our way back to his house. We got out with a flashlight and went up and down the road trying to figure out what in the hell fell off my car. Finally he saw the top of the heat shield laying in the road lol.

I think its sad how we have not said a single word in that thread and every other post he is lying, bashing, and insulting us.

To me it just swells me with pride to see someone try so hard to compete with us. I mean he isnt even on our radar and yet he can not stop thinking about us

Just because we use the same turbo our kit has to be the same? The big turbo thread stared on the DCR car over 6 months ago, when did they have any results from it? I have looked and it was only a month or 2 ago, that is where I am getting my time frame.

As far as the manifold goes, have you even looked at it? Did you notice that its not a stock manifold? Do you even know what your looking at?

This is what kills me about threads like this, you and several posting in here know very little about what we do and even less about the parts that we build (since you have never bothered to buy any). Its starting to sound like a broken record and its bordering on harassment.

Either complain about what you have first hand knowledge about IE parts, customer service or realize that what you have heard may not be all true. Sure we have messed up a few times and those people are here to post about it, over and over and over again. Its the same people every time a thread like this gets started that have something to say and these issues are months if not over a year old. From the looks of it very few of you have a life outside the forums and I am the target of your frustration, please... complain about something that is legit, logical, or just basic customer service problems. Complaining that we used the same turbo for our Caliber build, well..... that is just silly.
