Reading through the warrant issues reminded me of a little something from Chris Farley before he died....

Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted, why would somebody put a guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting.
Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening.
Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to fell all warm and toasty inside.
Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good.
Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted?
[chuckles until he sees that Ted is not laughing too]
Ted Nelson, Customer: [impatiently] What's your point?
Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times.
Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?
Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.

Well more or less im way too lazy and pissed off at my sitatuion with SBR so ill give you guys a quick run down.

beginning of may i ordered the following

cam gears
stage 3 cams
bc springs/retainers
act clutch
lc-1 wideband

maybe a few other things i forget..

after 2 weeks i started to get worried about not getting packages...so i begged 5x a day for tracking numbers.

eventually 2.5 weeks later i receive cam gears and a tracking number for the gears AFTER they were delivered...followed shortly after a couple weeks later i received the cams and springs/retainers...with no tracking numbers ever received..and it took about a month and a week or so to get the clutch...so meh whatever thats fine..now the kicker...

I ordered a lc-1 wideband on may 19th.
i thought to myself hey jeff is giving me a good deal so I will deal with it taking a few extra weeks...
-june 9th i believe comes around and i send an email/im to jeff ...where the f is my wideband and tracking number...
-a week later i get a tracking number to find out it had been delivered to the wrong address...
-long story short...after about 25 emails bitching to Candy (who i might say is a total bitch) i FINALLY just got a replacement wideband last week. Over 3 months it took to get the wideband...no I dont know entirely if it was slowboys fault or innovate or fedex..but point blank i never had issues from any vendors before

p.s. the kicker is that i was told everyone of these parts were IN STOCK and would be to me in a few days...unfortunatly i never dealt directly with selling/buying stuff from jeff when he had his srt but i have seen numerous posts and threads about him screwing people over.

I will never buy anything from them. You should try and get them removed from the forum as a supporting vendor...just an idea.

in all fairness nate, being that your motor blew and the turbo has been off multiple times i don't blame them for not coving this under warranty. seriously. i'm not saying it's your fault, but i'm just saying that i could understand them not coving this.

however that does NOT excuse the horrible customer service. that has nothing to do with them treating you the way they have. that's just bullshit.

also, you are an idiot to have ordered another turbo from them instead of AGP.

Nate that really blows and I hear nothing but horror stories about slowboy now. But as for kinetic they stood behind my turbo and even shipped me a brand new turbo before I pulled my old one off.

After 5 pages of trashing Slowboy, I'm suprised no one from their company has come on this thread to defend themselves. Within a matter of minutes it seems like they've already lost a shitload of potential customers. DOWN with shitty vendors!

I wasn't aware that removing & re-installing the turbo could pose a threat to the life of the turbo ... explain this more

the only reason why the turbo was removed so many times, is because I was trying to diagnose the problem ... the turbo was removed once prior to the smoking (only to install it on my CTI manifold) ... then it was removed again off my blown motor & installed on my new one (but the turbo was already smoking before the motor blew) ... then in the process of diagnosing I removed the turbo probably 4-5 times to check for oil in the turbo, manifold & head ... I don't see how removing it 4-5 times AFTER the turbo was smoking caused the turbo to blow ... hell, I don't see how removing it 1 time had any influence on the turbo blowing

what would you suggest I do?

my sole intention was to pay for a new CHRA and then work with my credit card company to get the charge reversed ... if I decided not to get the new CHRA who knows if I would have even gotten my turbo back ... at this point I've begged slowboy to ship me back my blown CHRA and I've begged for a tracking number & still have yet to get a call back or an email with ANY info ... I honestly have a feeling that if I decided to buy a turbo elsewhere, I would have never seen my 60T again

trust me, I thought over my different options & this seemed to make the most sense for the time being

Screw 'em. Nate - what goes around comes around. They will get screwed at some point.

Let me know when you go to the track next, I'd like to head up again before I become whipped on a regular basis.
