My car has already been down for 5 weeks cause of the clutch and not having any moolah! I HAVE BOOST FEVER!
Im gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and hopefully I will have tracking tomorrow. Ill keep yall filled in. If not you will see a thread for a flight fund raiser.

I had a shitty exp. with Kinetics almost 2 years ago. My buddy was going 50trim and opted for the Kinetics kit. He drops car off at my house so I can get started. Once I get to installing o2 housing on manifold I run into a few BIG (IMO) issues. The 4 bolt flange that goes to back of turbo isn't drilled correctly. I have to drill out hole. Although not a huge issue now, this was back in the beginning of my part installs so I had A LOT less tools to say the least, especially for this kind of stuff. I'm finally able to drill hole out. Upon putting oil lines on I realize that the kit didn't include the correct fitting for the oil feed line to turbo. My buddy has to get that shit overnighted to my house in NC from Canada. This kit came with the wastegate reroute. The metal flex tubing that goes from w/g to o2 housing wouldn't stop leaking. Finally he opted for the external w/g o2 housing. It comes in. I go to put it on and once again the fucking 4 bolt flange from o2 housing to turbo is not drilled correctly, luckily this time I had a bit I bought just in case this shit happened again. Another thing I though was ridiculous was the oil feed line was ATLEAST 3 feet long, which leaves lots of slack. By buddy had his exp. with Kinetics through Quickwhips.
I had another buddy order a returnline from Slowboy Racing. It takes him a few weeks to get after they say they have in stock. He had to call several times. One of the guys ended up saying something about the other guy being bad about forgetting stuff. I forgot who said what though.
These are two companies I refuse to do business with. I almost considered the baby-kahuna, but I just knew I didn't want to deal with those douche bags.
Sucks your having to go through all this shit man. Hopefully you get what you can out of it.
Jesus christ ... only a few hours in and yet, more horror stories
you know what's extremely ironic ... when Jeff B lived around here he installed a Kinetic 50 trim on his car ... after tearing his car apart to install the new turbo, they found that the kit was missing fittings & had to go through hell to find the correct fittings (on a Sunday if I remember correctly) ... then I remember Jeff (and the person who helped him install it) say that they would never buy anything from Kinetic again because it was a PITA w/o all the fittings

I am one of the ones in NE starting to collect parts for my winter build. I am trying to work with as few vendors as possible to get what I need. I am having the manifold built at CTI, and pretty much everything else from AGP at this point (Forward Motion is on the list as well).
I almost always recommend people buy stuff online to save money here and there, but the possibility of getting scammed just ruins the money you could have saved.
Good luck Nate. When is the turbo supposed to be delivered? Going to make it up to the track on Saturday?
the turbo won't be here until next Monday ... I told Jeff that I wanted the car running by this weekend & would pay extra to get the shipping expedited if need be ... he clearly has no concern for my satisfaction, as I'm extremely fucking pissed at this point ... as you knew, I wanted to go to the track this weekend

^^ what him said ... should've went with real tune
good luck getting your stuff within a reasonable time and not having to go through all of this bullshit ... keep your fingers crossed that you won't have any problems with the clutch so you won't have to deal with SBR again
there was any doubt that slowboy was like this? you should have rebuilt the thing yourself. $100 and 1 hour of time and it woudl be ready to go. sure you could deal with what you are dealing with, but whats $100 for an ease of mind

I've never rebuilt a turbo, but I asked slowboy to send me my old CHRA back so I could attempt to rebuild it and either keep it for a back up or sell it ... who knows if I'll actually get the turbo back though
any tips or links you have for rebuilding it would be greatly appreciated
lol you guys would love to HEAR my story from slowboy....its not nearly as long as nates but it extended near 4 months...i will get a timeline together tomorrow and post it up because im to tired to flame right now

AGP 50 trim + goodies
I have heard nothing but bad things about SBR also. Kinetic sold me a WGA a couple of years ago and the bladder went in 3 months. They wouldnt cover it so I went AGP. Every purchase I made with AGP went superb and the kit went on like butter. Also I had a couple of questions and they immediately picked up the phone and worked with me.
Jeffie B just keeps dropping the ball on the customer I see. figures.

Jeff B. ripped me off about two years ago when he was selling his SRT. He wanted to buy my stock hood and trunk while he was selling his car since he had a black hood and a busted carbon trunk on there at the time... I agreed to sell him the hood and trunk for $500, and when he came over to pick them up he said that he would pay me once the car sold... That should have been a red flag, but at the time everyone seemed to think he was a good guy. He then sold his hood and trunk through me which I got $300 for, but he still owed me $200.
After many calls, emails, etc trying to get the $200 he owed me, it was a lost cause. I never ended up getting the money he owed me, but I have done nothing but shit talk slowboy racing since then, and have hopefully steered a few people away from that awful company. $200 isn't a lot of money, but the whole principal of the matter is what pissed me off the most. Try to do something nice for someone and then get fucked over.
rod through motor?= metal in oil lines? = blown turbo your fault?
no ... rod through block = no oil pressure due to motor seizing up = no metal in oil line = blown turbo not my fault
also, the turbo was starting to smoke slightly before I blew the motor on the way down to NY ... in other words, the turbo was on it's way out before the motor blew
