I bought a used ACT clutch assembly from someone on here awhile ago. I'm getting closer to having it installed now and I wanted someone to check it out.
I called ACT to see what it would cost. I was shocked at the amount of work that they suggested to do to the clutch. It was an old style flywheel so they needed to weld the ring gear and do some machining to accept new style flywheel bolts. Along with that they suggested resurfacing the pressure plate and the flywheel. I shipped the clutch to ACT and it took them only two days to complete the work on it. Best of all, they charged me nothing for the work completed. Also, they waived the return shipping fee.
I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service. They called me as soon as the work was completed, and always responded quickly to my emails.
Since I'm a local he gave me a tour of his business, a sweet price on their street kit and after I lightened the flywheel 2 pounds they even did a free re-balance!
The purpose of ignition advance is to account for the lag time following spark ignition for combustion pressure to peak at 15 degrees AFTER TOP DEAD CENTER. A little fyi !
Seriously though, I've been eyeballing their street flywheel for the past year now, and its reports like yours that give me faith in their product and seal the deal. I'm definitely going with ACT for my clutch.
...and their presence on this forum is HUGE reason I even began considering them. Kudos ACT!
I have a 6 disk waiting to be installed. I have to save up money for some other parts before it goes on. but I can't wait!!! I heard nothing but great things about ACT, thats why I went with them.
