Default Ugh!!! pics of my mustang

Well I made some changes to my 1986 coupe. First off I dropped in a 408 with some fully ported dart iron heads. Yep you read it correctly iron heads. I wanted these heads due to their stockish look. I also purchased a victor efi intake manifold that was ported along with the heads. The heads flow 303/232 @ .600 lift. Other items are a accufab 90mm tb and a meziere electric water pump,42lb injectors, pmas 95mm velocity air meter.

The exhaust consists of mac 1-3/4 long tubes with 3inch collectors going into a Dr. Gas 3 inch x-pipe. Finally a flowmaster 3 inch catback with the new super 44 mufflers. The car is loud and listening to it idle is sweet music to my ears. The cam is a custom hyd roller (250/260ish @ .050 .600 lift)
I had the car dynoed with the new combo and it made a best 464 hp and 450 tq SAE.

Later this year I plan on adding a tubular k-member and possibly doing more port work to the heads.

The car still drives good except for alittle bucking below 2000 rpms. But I can tell you this once you stomp the gas pedal its ridiculous. I still have a/c too and it blows cold. One other thing I added was some 10 inch wide prostars for the rear with a 6.5 back space. The wheels tuck in nicely and they look fat from the rear.

Anyway here are a few pics of the car:

SO nice to see some real clean old Stangs still exist, was a big dream car of mine in my youth. Only one question though, why no turbo?

It does so with authority and poise, but while slipping relatively unnoticed through traffic, never being violent, or dare I say it, frightening. When you ask the SRT-4 to take you somewhere fast, it punches you in the face, throws you over its shoulder, and runs, screaming, so quickly that its tires can barely keep up."

Thanks for the compliments...This is my 3rd fox body and the best.. I like the 4 eyed cars because you dont see them often...No track times yet,I had to buy a digital 6 msd because the car would drop spark at 5500 rpms. Now it pulls all the way to 6500 with no issues..

I can say this though the car will spin 2nd gear about 10 car lengths. And I got 275/50/15 bf drag radials..

Before this motor was installed I had a basic gt40 package that made 314/328tq.The car ran 7.80's @ 89 in the 1/8 on drag radials..

I'm hoping for bottom 7's and high 6's like it sits now.It will depend on the 60 footer though..We will see.

Notch back FTW. I have an 87 fox body, although all my money is in performance, it looks like total ass. I personally prefer the 87 style lights to the 86. But I like it bro! I put L-60's on the back of mine.

nice & clean ... other than those clear/blue floor mats

I used to have an '86 GT that I bought off my Dad ... he bought it in '87 with about 20k miles on it ... I ended up selling it 3 years ago for $3,500 with only 40,000 original miles on it - with a centerforce clutch, flowmaster exhaust & a few other small mods ... it was a pretty dumb move to sell that car, I'll never find another one in such pristine shape with only 40k miles on it

Damn, you gave that car away dude..As for the floor mats,I use those over top of the nice cloth ones to keep them looking good for awhile. I do it for all my cars...Believe me they keep the wear marks off of the factory floor mats.

You prefer the aero nose over the 4 eyes??? Those are fighting words over at 4eyedpride . But FWIW I've had two aero nose mustangs a 88 and 89.
