Well, having experience with the exact clutch that they have, I would have to say that the clutch is not really all that street friendly. It's practically all or nothing. There MIGHT be 1/4" of pedal travel where it has a reasonable slip point. But it's tough to keep it right in that spot. It's freakin grabby!
...I liked it!
I probably just have a higher threshold for that kinda stuff than a lot of people. You have people out there that complain about the vibration from solid motor mounts and no balance shafts. I laugh inside at people like that.

...lol yep know what you mean also.. my buddy bitchs about his solid motor mounts and vibrations from lowering the car.
He would never ride in our other srt-4 because we keep the needswings dump open all the time and couldnt stand the vibrations or noise.. I was like this isnt loud..
NICE CHUCK!!!! so its real grabby and hard to drive... NICE..lol
Hows the accel input shaft.
It was nice for the little time I got to spend with it. I can't imagine you haven't seen my latest thread? Well, maybe you haven't, I didn't see any comments left by you in it.

I don't have any 93 octane maps, but I might be able to find a 91 octane map you could take a gander at. I'll have to check.

I would like to believe I have a high tolerance to vibrations and other such compromises that are inherent with building a pissed off street/strip machine. I will tell you, though. This clutch is not for the faint of heart. It has a very aggressive grab. I have full solid mounts and that doesn't even come close to phasing me. I daily drove with a 6-puck clutch in this car for over 3 years, and I can tell you, there is absolutely no comparison between it and this twin disc.
I am sure there are different levels of twin disc clutches. Some will have better slip engagement characteristics than others. This clutch just happens to have little to no slip engagement.

LOL at you still trying to con someone into teaching your tuner how to tune the car
Glad its coming a long.

Regarding the Manley Rod question.............the answer is.....................
No you do not need to notch the block for for Manley rods, there are no clearance problems
Chuck, what rods did you go with? Hopefully not Crower or Pauter(HEAVY ASS RODS)
Take a look at the other thread, I also posted there about this.
Did you happen to weigh your Manleys?
Last time I checked with a Manley supplier, they said the Manley's weighed in at 697 grams. The stock length Pauters weigh in at 680 grams. The Pauters I have I think weighed in at 682 grams.
Manleys are strong, but are also very heavy, as well.
EDIT: Just checked my rods. They weigh 679 grams.
