Well in that case, I concede. Thanks for the "real world" info. Hows the car running?
not too bad have a few quirks to fish out of the ems.....but i went to a dyno day yesterday and on only 21 psi falling to 16 at redline(i had to throw my home depot mbc back on it because the ems stopped controlling boost for some reason) with a high 10 afr on pump gas no meth, it dynoed 405/370......i was very happy with it.....i mean all the tuning has been done by me with a little help from redspeedfreak.....and i am basicly running no timing in the ems.....starts at 15* and ends at 22* at redline......no where's near what a stock computer runs timing wise

if half the timing belt was gone it wouldnt't run.....i think you ment timing belt cover....it is no biggie at all.....
UMM, no, I was referring to the fact that half of the timing belt has rubbed off, if you look on the inside of the belt, it appears darker. Normally the belt covers the whole gear, not just half of it.

you are correct the inside of the belt is darker....the inside of the belt actually rubs on a lower piece of i cant remember if its the oil pump or the timing cover.....so all timing belts will always be darker on the side closest to the valve cover.....and the belt is supposed to be a hair inside the cam gears.....the cams gears are actually a tad bigger than the belt itself.....but the crank gear is the exact size

Correct. There is about 1/4" difference between the 2.
