you quoted me
I forgot about that post

TO the original poster, It looks ok. The bend is a bit futher down then I would like as it places it right in the middle of the engine bay and not close to the battery at most others do. I would take it off and get some good metallic paint and go voer it a few times. They sell a good Gunmetal pain at Kragen In point Loma

Nice work. Some polish and elbow grease will make it look even better. What type of coupler is that?

its isn't a coupler but an AEM bybass valve, which keep water from entering the engine. Also aluminum isn't weak and its very light. I personally like the raw aluminum look so I won't be painting it. The bend is further down so it dosen't hit the battery like the AEM unit does.

bypass valves should not be on a turbo motor

You CAN NOT run a bypass valve on a turboed car. I give it another 2 weeks, then your turbo is over.

huh? correct me if i am wrong but that looks just like a connector made out of porous material so in the event of water induction, that would stop the water from getting sucked in.. how will that kill the turbo?

Why the hell would parts get sucked into the turbo? pieces of the bypass valve aren't going to just fall apart. I now see that AEM says you shouldn't use one on a turbo car but what if you get water in there. I know a few people who have hydrolocked there engines that way.
