The pipe inside of the headlight is about 5-6" in length and the inside end is extruded so that a 4" pipe actualy slides into it, much like exhaust piping does. I'll hafta make an extra section to go from my intake to the headlight but I'll figure that part out once I see how well everythings gonna fit through the radiator support.
So you're planning on piping the air to your intake filter, not directly to the turbo...it just seems that would be potentially dangerous for the turbo...if you ran it directly to the turbo. Without the protection of the filter...
if your just on the track it would be fine, but id place some sort of mesh somewhere before the turbo just incase. like around here if your running at the track around spring time all the locus and grasshoppers are flying around. few people learned about it the hard way running open carburetors.. lol

Even if it was track only, all it would take is one rock, piece of trash, or d!ckhe@d who hates SRT-4s, to drop something in there, and Fubar your car. That mesh is, at the very least, a GREAT idea...just my .02.

I dont have a 4 ft wing on the back of mine, I'll probably be safe. I never run my turbo without a screen atleast. This will be headlight to turbo, no filter, but a screen for sure. Youd be surprised how many people daily drive without even having a screen over the inlet.
the one im building will have a piece of screen glued on right on the back side of the headlight.....or it will be between the trim piece im building and the headlight to kind of smash it.....i would not be skerd to run this headlight 24/7......rain would be the only thing i am worried about......but you would have to be caught in a complete down pour for it to do any damage.....but it will be done so you can just take a coupler off under the hood and run it with basicly a short ram......i have it all planned out and almost completed just lost time.....but i should have it finished in the next 2 weeks

You'll have to go to the L.I. meet ...and I don't even know if my car is going to make it. I've been waiting 3 weeks for 1 part so I can put the damn thing back together
