Default Had an extra headlight...

So I made a light for the track that I'll be able to connect to the 4" intake so its straight to the turbo. I've saw some cobra guys claim to pick up 2-3 mph by removing their headlight without having any kind of duct work so we'll see if this makes a difference or not. I went over it with a coat of spot putty to smooth out the taper around the pipe, after its dry I'll sand it down and spray it black.

I used a piece of 4" aluminized pipe. PVC would have worked too but I want this to be the same stuff I used for my intake so that it would all fit up good. Thanks, I may have some finished pics later today.

Nah it will be black when its done. That will match the other headlight better than red since I have black housing headlights and also a cf hood that would probably clash pretty bad with a red painted light, but I doubt this will get used enough to really worry that much about the looks anyway.

Instead of making it round like the stock headlight would making it like a dish help more, so it catches more air?

If I didnt plan on running my 4" intake directly from the headlight to the turbo, your idea would be good, but I did it this way because the 4" pipe for the intake will fit right to it. I looked at ams's evo headlight after starting this and thought about doing something similar instead. I still dunno if Ima run into any clearance issues with running the pipe through the radiator support, if I do, I'll prolly redo it with a more open design like they did their evo headlight and do away with the piping to the headlight, but I really want it to be direct opposed to just letting air go everywhere instead of directly to the turbo.

The pipe inside of the headlight is about 5-6" in length and the inside end is extruded so that a 4" pipe actualy slides into it, much like exhaust piping does. I'll hafta make an extra section to go from my intake to the headlight but I'll figure that part out once I see how well everythings gonna fit through the radiator support.
