There has been a rumor going around about AT&T forcing customers to get $30 data plans on all PDA Phones. This includes Blackberries, Windows Mobile devices, ect.
This will go in effect September 6th, 2009.
I know a lot are going to be upset but before people start saying its unfair and stupid, ill tell you whats going on in the inside.
The same people who get these phones and say they dont need the data plan are upset because
1. You dont get the rebate, and the sales person is not going to tell you that.
2. those same people end up with $900 - $10,000 worth in data usage.
I still dont see why people want smart phones without data anyways. Damn WIFI

Can I still call in and say that I lost my iphone and say that i replaced it with a non data usage phone to cancel my data plan???
yea...... but the system is already upgraded now. If it detects u are on a iphone. the data WILL be auto placed.
Its in the contract so yes that can do it.
