Phil "Lefty" Mickelson has left the PGA indefinitely due to his wife, Amy's, recent diagnosis of Breast Cancer. For any golf fan, player, or just general sports lover, this is a tough shot to take.

Although they all deserve the same amount of prayer and whatnot the reason you don't see threads is because you don't know about them. The reason they know about this is because it's in the mainstream media for being a professional golfer, regular people don't get put in the news for getting cancer.

who gives a fuck if her husband is famous....does that mean I should shead more tears for her because he giving up golfing? what about those families that don't have that luxury...that have to work everyday to make sure they have healthcare. this world is getting more fucked up each and every single day.

Your question makes no sense. Why would I shout out to all the suffering families out there that I DON'T know? How could I even if I wanted to? I DON'T know them.
Phil, however, I have watched and respected for years. He is one of the golf greats. I certainly hope his wife gets better in time, and that he is able to return to the PGA with his loving wife by his side.
