Anyone here done it or been arround it? Is there any real money to be made? A buddy of mine just bought a pit(full blood, both parents were on site, but no papers). An th female had 9 pups selling for 150 a piece = 1350. Minus 350 for shots = 1000. Minus 100 for misc hay and food = 900 profit.
On paper, it seems like relatively 'easy' money, is there anything really out of the normal that has to be done? Will the male always breed with the female or are there times when they just dont want to?
How does the process go with getting them 'registered' and with 'papers'?
If you have any fist hand experience please post up...

The purpose of ignition advance is to account for the lag time following spark ignition for combustion pressure to peak at 15 degrees AFTER TOP DEAD CENTER. A little fyi !
I know a friend of mine breeds pure breed golden retrivers a few times a year. She sells them for crazy amounts, around $1000 if I can remember correctly. Seems like decent money to me!

$1000 isn't much for a bred retriever. I just got done working the Lompoc Valley Kennel Club All Breed dog show (within the top 5 of the nation). If you want to make money breeding dogs, you should show them... There were 1383 dogs. The site had 158 motor homes (first class, fully loaded), for the owners, handlers, etc.
If a dog places in a show, you can expect breeding prices to multiply massively. The show itself brought in over $1.5 million to the City of Lompoc (population of only 41,xxx people).
Anyways, What I'm getting at is if you can get a dog to place in a show, you can expect a lot more for breeding costs. If your dog takes best in group or even best in show, the price for breeding goes up astronomically. The dog show world is a VERY VERY high pricing business.

As an avid Pit lover I beg you to not think about this unless you really do your homework. It's situations just like this that make for very unbalanced dogs.
Some dogs have no business being a stud due to various issues. When you get a male and a female that aren't perfect (in terms of genetic quality, emotional health etc etc) then those flaws are magnified in the puppies.
I'm not saying to not do it but if you're going to do it then do it right. Learn more about breeding and what to look for as far as if your dog should be allowed to breed or not.
