Anyone else on the forums train for Mixed Martial Arts? I happen to be a Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu student--3 months in and a 4th degree white belt--I had previous no gi experience which has helped me out alot
I'm also looking to have my first ameteur MMA fight by the end of the year-185 lb division
any others out there training to fight or just6 train?

I'm in my 4th month of Tiger Schulmans: Core, Grappling and Kick Boxing. Just got my blue belt Friday.
Might join a competition in December.

Why yes, yes I do. I have been working on my conditioning and skill sets to do a couple amatuer fights, and grappling. I recommend just take your time and focus on really getting yourself ready. I had a kid come to workout with us friday night who was getting ready for his last amatuer fight "according to him" and he didn't even know how to get out of a traingle choke......

Tae Kwon Do is fun, more of a leg martial arts then anything else.

I'd check and see if there is a place that offers grappling, it usually has a good mix of wrestling and bjj, gotta love the top and the bottom game

I dabble in Gracie Jiu Jitsu and Capoeira, the latter for my breakdancing really.
