gonna replace factory 6x9 , do after market speaker have a harness that plug up or do i have to splice the wires and cut the factory harness off. or do i have to buy a specific harness for a c ertain brand of speaker
Have you bought new front speakers yet? Because the front stage is more important than the rear unless you sit in the backseat a lot.
As for the wiring, all you have to do is buy these connectors that I am COMPLETELY blanking on the name (remembered!! T-taps!). Or you can do it ghetto style and just cut the stock plug off the wires and just use the wires into the speaker. Or you can splice into the harness at the headunit and run speaker wire if you are planning to amp them in the future. Or you can just buy an external amplifier which will make the speakers sound 10x better, and all you have to do is run speaker wire from the amp to the speaker.
T Taps / Scotch Locks FTMFL!!!! I would NEVER suggest using them. Go to crutchfield or a local car audio shop and buy the correct speaker adapter plugs or poke/wrap/tape wires onto the factory leads.
yes absolutely. Being the driver, the majority of your sound is coming from the front speakers while the rears are just providing fill. Definitely do fronts first.

yes the fronts are 6 1/2"s. The whole door panel comes off. Three screws if I remember correctly. One at the handle to open the door, one at the handle to close the door, and a third in the indent where the dash sits when the door is closed. Pop the switch plate up and unplug it, then the door panel itself pops out and up. Speakers are held in with 3 screws. You may or may not need chrysler speaker adapters because of the way the speakers mount in the door (its been a while since I've done em in this car), but you will need to do one of the aforementioned ways for attaching speaker wires (NOT T-taps/scotch locks). PM me if you have any other questions.
