Default Window Switch w/express down?

Does anyone know if there is a alternative electric window switch for the SRT-4 which has the express down feature? One from another Dodge vehicle which might fit in the SRT-4?

if you have a viper system, you may be able to get their window up/down module which made mine one touch up and one touch down.

yea i have the viper system for my car and that module for my windows. I also hooked it up so that i can remotely roll down my windows as well as start my car. I did that cause i shaved my door handles and its nice where i live and decided not to get poppers at the momment.

i asked my installer if the rumors that the module will break in a couple of years were true. he said that the module will work for "a long time", but the window motor may fail sooner than cars without the module. my windows seem to go slower down and up now.

I've installed plenty of these modules for customers and in every one of my own vehicles. If you're referring to the Viper (Directed Electronics) 530T, I have never seen one fail. Nor have I ever seen a window motor fail. I had two in my SVT Contour (for all four windows), and have one in both of my cars now. The reason he said your motor may fail sooner is because the module senses when the window tops/bottoms out in the door. When this happens the motors starts to pull more current in an attempt to keep moving against the resistance. This is how the module knows to stop. There are dip switches to adjust it to an appropriate level. Seeing as how you would never be dealing with cold weather in HI, You shouldn't need a high setting. As far as your windows moving slower, the best rememdy for that would be to ensure there was a dedicated power cable ran to the battery for the module. I would recommend at least 10 ga wire. Hope this helps!

I think he said the same about how the module knows when to stop. I'm not sure, though, because I don't know that much about electronics. As long as the window moves, its okay for me. If it gets any slower, than I'll run the dedicated wire. Thanks.

i have some module in my alarm that lets me have a automatic window switch. But i when i was moving i had a box hit my switch on my passenger side and now it doesn't work at all. When i try and use it it tends to make a "click" sound like it should be working. Any ideas on how to fix it, i live in cali and it sucks being able to only roll 1 window down in the summer time

Okay, back on topic does anyone know if the individual switch module (Driver window) from somthing like a Stratus will work in place of the non express switch in the Neon/SRT-4?

i could be wrong but i am pretty sure that you need more than just a switch to make this work. you need a module or a seperate circuit to sense the extra click to keep the electricty flowing to the window motor. think of a switch as a way to temporarily connect wires together or in some cases its used to choose which way you want the electricty to go. such as a switch that has more than one click or position to it. if you were to hold two wires with stripped ends together you just "closed" the circuit. you are the switch in this case. then when you pull the wires apart again you "open" the circuit.

hope this helps.
